THOUSAND OAKS, CA – The campaign of former Federal Prosecutor Matt Jacobs today announced it had raised over $320,000 in the first quarter ending March 31, with just shy of $1.2 million raised to date.
This is Jacobs’ biggest fundraising quarter of the campaign, and it comes on the heels of last week’s news that the National Republican Congressional Committee has added the 26th congressional district to its list of targeted seats.
With months to go until November, Jacobs has already raised over $400,000 more than the last 3 GOP challengers to Julia Brownley combined.
“Our hard work is paying off,” said Jacobs. “I cannot thank our donors and supporters enough for their faith in our campaign. Our message is simple: stop the out-of-control inflation, fight for good schools, and make our communities safer by supporting our police. That message is resonating across this district and across the country. I will continue to make the case that Julia Brownley’s record of voting with Nancy Pelosi 100% of the time is simply out of step with this district.”
Jacobs has been endorsed by numerous law enforcement organizations, and has been recognized nationally as a top Republican pickup opportunity as part of the NRCC Young Guns program.
