THOUSAND OAKS, CA – Matt Jacobs, former Federal Prosecutor and Republican nominee for U.S. Congress in California’s 26th District, raised nearly $500,000 in the second quarter of 2022 – over $135,000 more than incumbent Democrat Julia Brownley, according to recently released campaign finance reports. Jacobs has also outraised Brownley cycle to date, with over $1.66 million in receipts through June 30, 2022. In terms of individual contributions, Jacobs has raised nearly double Brownley.
“People ask how a political outsider and first-time candidate like me has been able to outraise an entrenched 30-year career politician like Julia Brownley. The answer is simple: Julia Brownley has failed this community. People know it, and they’re excited to invest in change.
“Brownley is a Far Left partisan whose votes have directly led to out-of-control gas prices, record-high inflation, the release of violent criminals, and dismal educational outcomes for so many of our kids. In short, she’s made life worse for people in our community.
“Voters in CA26 have had enough. They know we won’t get our country back on track if politicians like Brownley remain in power. They know it’s time to fire 30-year career politician Julia Brownley and send a proven fighter and true public servant to Congress,” Jacobs said.
